Step 1

Step 2

Paste a rock texture image over the top, and set the blend mode to overlay. Click here to download the same texture as shown on the left. You will need to erase parts of the layer which overlay on top of the face.


Step 3

Create a new layer. Set your foreground color to #A63908 and your background color to #D6CCC7. Apply filter > render > clouds, then set the blend mode to overlay. This should give our picture some more color.


Step 4

Create a new layer, then airbrush the outter areas of the picture with black, so you have an effect of an inner shadow. If you've never used the airbrush tool, then you may find this diffcult, just play around with different brush sizes and pressure levels until you feel comfortable.


Step 5

Create a new layer and airbrush the edge of the figure with black, so it looks like a shadow.
