UN wants to aquire the internet
Everyone seems to think ICANN is doing a good job of managing the internet lately. However, the UN is currently holding talks to takeover the internet. Paul Twomey, the president of ICANN was kicked out of a UN summit on internet issues in Geneva.
The UN will converse on issues such as pornography, spam, and general supervision/censorship. Basically, the UN doesn't like the free speech idea of the internet. Read the article at technewsworld, or join in on the discussion at Slashdot.
