History of Project09

Version 1
The first version of Project09, which finally went live 7 months after the domain name was registered. Project09 was planned to be a graphics forum running vbulletin, but realising there was way too much competition in that market; we changed our focus to Photoshop tutorials and webdesign news.
For the first few days of the site's life, we recieved only 100-200 visits a day, until Robert contacted me and offered to help work on the site with us. His excellent tutorials made Project09 quite popular. Our traffic exploded to over 1000 unique visits per day, which used around 4 GB's a month in server bandwidth. |

Version 2
The next version was a major CSS change, it was easy to redesign the site, because we originally designed the html using CSS instead of tables. The site continued to grow at a very fast rate, with the addition of more affiliates. |

Version 3
Version 2 had been up for quite a while, it worked well, but I was getting tired of the design, and some users were experiencing viewing difficulties. The new design was meant to be more modern and enjoyable to look at, unfortunatly we failed miserably. I hated the design from about 3 hours after I uploaded it, so quickly set to work on version 4 which you see right now. |
